DESCRIPTION/EVALUATION:
"This book describes the planning and development of a
geographicl information system, explains the components necessary
for a GIS, and presents a variety of examples of how a GIS map can
be used in educational planning and management." It focuses on the
needs of planners in developing countries, but explores the potential
of GIS for education decision making generally. The language is very
understandable, technical jargon is avoided.
