Sharon Bradley, Cooley School of Law Library, will be taking over responsibilities for the MichALL Newsletter after January 1, 1997.

John Brandt, Social Sciences Data Librarian at the University of Michigan, has accepted a position as Head of Government Documents at Lake Forest College (Illinois) beginning in late August. In less than a year at the University of Michigan, John inaugerated the library's microdata service (PUMS, CPS), served part-time at the Center for Population Studies, and worked with ICPSR to convert the codebooks of its data tapes to digital format. John also served at the Documents Desk, taught numerous classes, and developed a system for mounting federal CD-ROMs. Best wishes to John as he continues his library career!

Charlotte Bynum, Associate Librarian for Reference Services, Detroit College of Law at MSU, has moved to Lansing, but retained her old job! DCL at MSU has relocated to the Main Library, MSU, East Lansing, MI 48824-1048 temporarily until the new DCL at MSU building is finished. She will be assisting all the first year law school students settle in at MSU this year. To reach her at work, call (517) 432-4363; to reach her at home, call (517) 627-7658. Charlotte Bynum also reports that she has a new e-mail address : bynumc@msu.edu.

Maria Danna will no longer be working for the University of Detroit Mercy as of August 16, 1996. In the meantime, she will continue to serve as Secretary of Godort of Michigan while sorting out which part-time opportunities she will pursue.

Sue Davidsen, M-Link, will receive the Walter Kaiser Librarian of the Year Award at this year's Michigan Library Association Annual Conference.

Judy Field, Library and Information Science Program, Wayne State University, has been elected 1996/97 President-Elect of the Special Libraries Associations.

Jon Harrison, Michigan State University, reports that the Godort of Michigan Home Page now includes a Membership Directory. Corrections can be sent to harris23@mail.lib.msu.edu.

Jon Harrison also reports that the MSU Libraries are converting from one e-mail system to another. As a result, all of the librarian at MSU will be receiving new e-mail addresses. His new address will be harris23@mail.lib.msu.edu.

Cass Hartnett and Ann Sanders provided a Depository Library Orientation Session on July 8, 1996 at the Library of Michigan.

Cass Hartnett, former Regional Depository Supervisor at Detroit Public Library, has arrived safely in Washington. Her new address is 3207 N. 12th St., Tacoma, WA 98406; her new telephone number (206) 759-5883.

Mary Karpinski, former Documents Reference Coordinator at the Library of Michigan, is now Librarian for the Grand Rapids Bar Association. She will continue to serve as Godort of Michigan Director-at-Large for the time being. Fran Krempasky, former Library Assistant III in the Government Documents Library at Michigan State University and recent graduate of the Wayne State University School of Information and Library Science, has accepted a new job as Support Services Librarian at the Southfield Public Library.

Susan Kruger from the Detroit Public Library will be the new adjunct lecturer for Federal Government Information Services class at the University of Michigan for the Fall 1996 term.

Ann Sanders will be offering an all-day Depository Orientation on August 30th at Michigan Tech in Houghton. MTU has arranged for the session to be held in their satellite conference room so remote access will be possible. Debbi Schaubman has been appointed Head of the Government Documents Library in the Michigan State University Libraries.

Debbi Schaubman has volunteered to serve as the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) liaison person in Godort's IDTF Agency Liaison Program.

Amy Singer, Eastern Michigan University Library Documents Assistant, welcomed her first child on August 14. Nolan Andrew Singer weighed in at 8 lbs., 8 oz., and measured 21 inches.
