My responsibilities are diverse and ever-changing!

  • I create publications to support the library's development efforts, such as Insight, a bi-annual newsletter for faculty and donors. Another significant piece was Horizons of Change: 1997-2007, a ten-year report for the library.
  • I manage the MSU Libraries' publication program, which includes original content, anthologies of MSU student work, and rare book reprints from Special Collections.
  • I plan marketing campaigns for library services and resources, such as our Espresso Book Machine
  • I develop creative marketing materials for the MSU Libraries, such as poster series for classrooms and computer labs, and library products for shop.msu.edu.
  • I provide leadership and oversight for the library's social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter, and library blogs.

My previous positions at MSU include cataloger for Special Collections, project manager in the Digital & Multimedia Center, and reference librarian.

Before coming to MSU, I was marketing manager for ALA Editions, the book publishing unit of the American Library Association.
